Practice Camp
Students
Practice Camp is ideal for violin, viola and cello students between the ages of 6 and 14 who want to build technical skills and to support their work in private lessons.
Classes
(Please note that a student may be accepted to one class but not another. See here for the steps and timeline.)
Every week of Practice Camp has four classes, and students may apply for up to three of those classes each week. The classes run Monday through Friday.
9:00 - 9:50am: Scales
10:00 - 10:50am: Mastering the Fingerboard
11:00 - 11:50am: Repertoire: Practice Techniques OR Ear Training & Theory
12:00 - 12:50pm: Scales

*COVID-19 note: as of May 1, there are these three weeks scheduled. However, we have started to get requests for extension into July and early August, and we will add weeks if there is enough demand. Please make a note in your application if you’d be interested in later weeks of Practice Camp.
Curriculum
Each class has a particular focus, with lesson plans that will develop students’ skills in that area. Private lessons are not included in the Practice Camp but may be requested separately. For a more detailed description of the classes and approach, please see Curriculum.
Pricing
one class/week = $125
two classes/week = $240
three classes/week = $355

Practice camp possible schedules
