Sponoco keeps students excited about playing!
Our 6 to 8 year-olds
Learn fiddle tunes and duets, practice leading and polishing their solo pieces, and play lots and lots of scale variations! Our teachers know how to make technique work fun and enganging.
Our 9 to 11 year-olds
Begin to learn fingerboard geography to help them navigate different keys and positions. We use games to learn theory and the students learn lots of different practice techniques.
Our 12 to 14 year-olds
Build their repertoire of bow strokes and new approaches to more advanced techniques (vibrato, trills, shifting). They also have a chance to use fiddle tune accompaniment to learn extended techniques (chopping in particular), which are great for the bow and and a lot of fun to play.
Small groups allow for students to receive individual attention and make real connections with their peers
